Each chapter author should gather all the changes, and schedule a time for the vote. Chapter committees are posted on the web - just used that for a review I needed. Hi all, As a general question: how are we dealing with ticket 0 changes? If I remember right, they need a reading and a full forum vote as well (in the same meeting), at least that's how we handled the early ticket zero changes for the profiling chapter. Will there be some dedicated time in the March meeting for this or should we bring these things up individually with the chapter authors and have them organize the readings and votes? As for the chapter authors and committees: are they still the same as on the webpage or did we switch to the new assignments we decided on last time in Chicago? If so, where is that information? At this stage the agenda is over full - we will not be taking on any more items. We will discuss how to proceed at the next meeting. Given that we have on the order of 13 formal readings, and quite a few of them coming up for the first real attempt at a formal reading, it is likely that many of these will need to go through a second re-read, at a minimum. As a group we will need to decide if we want to delay 3.0 by 1 or 2 meetings, or if we stick to the original list of the top 3 items to be added into MPI 3.0, and when these are done, 3.0 is out the door, with other items following in 3.1. So, there MAY be some time to get some of these smaller items in. For ticket 0 type of items, there is no issue - we still have time. Rich and all ticket owners, is it correct that in/for the following tickets, the ticket-priority and/or the agenda should be updated: #187 (MPI_AINT, MPI_OFFSET, MPI_COUNT in reductions, etc.) should be set to scheduled for reading in Jan. 2012 #271 (MPI_Info for comm and win) --> "scheduled" (for Jan 2011) On Dec. 21, Adam Moody asked for 15 Min. formal reading #273 (nonbl. coll. I/O) is in state "scheduled" but not yet on the agenda #275 (Minor corrections to new RMA Chapter) lists one bug but seems to be overseen (never read, not scheduled, ...) #285 (nonbl. coll. file manipulation) was read in Oct. 2011, but is not yet in state "had 1st reading" I expect that voting should be delayed until #273 is read. #289 (MPI_Comm_merge) is related to #310 + #311 ? Rich, on Dec.16, 2011, I printed the Jan.2012 agenda and it showed on Tuesday 1:00pm - 2:00pm Plenary Session: MPI Comm Group Create - Formal reading Ticket #286 and Ticket #305 Now, the agenda shows 1:00pm - 2:00pm Plenary Session: MPI Noncollective Communicator Creation Ticket #286 and Ticket #305 The wording "Formal reading" is removed. Is this a cut&paste error? Or is it intended by some reasons? The mail below and the ticket clearly shows that a formal reading should be done.
