Hotel room reservations

We are at 6 rooms under the number of rooms we need to pick up to satisfy the room requirement. If any of you have reserved a room at the hotel, but not under the reserved block of rooms, please let me know, and if you can, please contact the hotel and have the reservation linked to the meeting (code: ipmipma.). Also, if you plan to reserve a room, and have not yet done so, please do so ASAP. Thanks, Rich

I would like to ask those that are not planning to go through the on-line registration, to send me a note so I know you are coming, and we order enough liquids to cover all that are planning to attend. Also, if you are planning on registering on-line (this has been a very error prone process - sorry) please do your best to sign up by the end of this week, so we can get a good head count. There are two registrations: Hotel registration for the hotel sleeping rooms, and then payment for the meeting, which is the second registration. I just sent out a note with the details on the second, so will not repeat. For the benefit of those who did not attend the first meeting, at the first meeting ORNL sent a person to the meeting to handle meeting payment (== registration), and we took credit card payments at the meeting. We will NOT have that capability this time, and instead have provided a way to provide on-line information so that we don¹t have to send someone just to take payments. This is still a manual procedure on the ORNL side, which will be done once a week. Receipts will be issued after the credit cards are billed, and can be picked up at the meeting, or, if needed earlier, they can be faxed to people. Actually -- one note on the web page: the "secret/verification number" on American Express cards is 4 digits, not 3 (I think it's 3 digits on MC/Visa). The web page only lets me put in 3. I hope that by this stage all the issues that came up with the on-line registration system have been resolved. The correct number of digits are now accepted, and Visa, MC, Amex, and Discover are all accepted, I am told. The meetings link (which is not accessible yet from the main forum page) is meetings.mpi-form.org . The on-line registration page is found from the meetings matrix, under the info link, and is: https://www.ornl.gov/ccsd_registrations/nccs_mpi_forums/ I am sorry for all the inconvenience people have suffered in getting this in place. Those that registered prior to the fixes will need to re-register - this should not cause you to be billed twice, as the billing process itself is still manual.
