Bill: Okay, I see what you mean. I'll take out the ticket 0 changes in my draft of the errata. WG: Then I agree with Martin about this being errata since it is a correction that could change interpretation and needs to be out sooner than MPI-next. Thus, it will need to be presented and voted on. Does anyone disagree? My view is that the errata contains items that, if not corrected, could lead to an erroneous interpretation of the standard. Thus, it need not contain corrections for simple misspellings or misplaced commas, but should contain fixes to incorrect examples, function bindings, or misspelled MPI objects and constants. That keeps the size of the errata down to just the "important" changes. Okay, I'm glad we're all on the same page. So what's the best way to fix this? I suggest: page 579, line 27: For any routine in this section, if the handle argument passed in is not associated with the session argument, MPI_T_ERR_INVALID_HANDLE is returned. page 580, line 17: same text Thoughts? If it's a chapter committee text fix, from what I understand from Bill, we don't have to put this forward as errata, but simply fix it within the chapter committee.
