Sorry, I had this wrong in my head - in this case, though, I think it would be worth putting this into an errata (I meant not a regular ticket) to get this publicly corrected as soon as possible. A ticket 0 change (which, I agree, we could argue for) will not appear in any public form until 3.1 or 4.0, but in the meantime people could get confused. Just my 2c, Martin

However, that section is talking about categories so it should read: "The following function can be used to query the number of categories, N."

I say it's a chapter committee text fix. The intended meaning is obvious from context.
