Torsten, please look at "Modified BSD".
Sounds good in general.

I would support such a discussion and also propose a BSD-like license.
Another interesting question: what license is MPI-2.1 under?

Just a reminder that we need to have people who plan to attend this meeting to register on-line before the end of this month, so that we can give the hotel an accurate head count for this meeting. For those that register after this deadline we can't guarantee there will be room in the meeting location, and food will not be provided - this does not mean that there may not be room.
Thanks,

As I understand it, the only way to get the a hotel room at the meeting rate is by going through Euro PVM/MPI registration. Also, the rate is not available the night of Sept. the 1st. I am working with the local hosts to rectify this, and will send out an e-mail message when this is in place.

A block of hotel rooms has also been reserved in conjunction with the Euro PVM/MPI hotel room block, however people need to make the reservations on their own directly with the hotel. You scared me Jeff. I am out of Chicago on Wed afternoon.
When I look at the agenda I see this is actually for Tuesday evening with a
followup Wed morning.
The Forum still adjourns at noon Wednesday so we can be back at work
Thursday.

Continued work on the open issues not resolved in 2.2 is all that is on the table now. In the future this will also cover items as they emerge from the wg's.

I just made mine. It's a bit complex because the front desk doesn't
accept the group rate. However, they will give you another number
(+358201234700 or 08001158775) which is the central SAS reservation
number. The 0800 is a European toll-free number, so I don't know if it's
possible to call it from the US (I failed), however, the other one works
:). There you can make the reservation by just asking for the group rate
"MPI09" (they will find the right hotel with this hint). You have to ask
for a confirmation email (they won't do it by default).
Just my $0.02 & good luck,
Torsten

I have heard of people having trouble making a room reservation at the Radisson in Helsinki. I was just able to make a reservation in the room block - the key seems to get the correct hotel (turns out there are 3) - The Royal Blue hotel.

Just a small update.
Due to a ruling that just came through today, we have just reset the price
for the meeting back to $200 the usual cost for this meeting.

is by going through Euro PVM/MPI registration. Also, the rate is not
