I am using 1x NVIDIA GeForce2 GTS AGP and 3x NVIDIA GeForce2 MX PCI cards in one display machine under Windows XP. There is currently a bug in the NVIDIA GeForce driver for Windows that causes a subset of boards to be recognized upon boot. Rebooting the machine (many times in the case of four boards) will eventually result in all boards being recognized. Allen, The camera control software is available at http://www-itg.lbl.gov/mbone/remote/ It is available as source and binary. The control consists of a server that controls the cameras and a client that runs on the remote hosts and issues the commands. The current client is a simple java implementation. The commands between the client and server use a simple ASCII format and are sent using UDP. The format is documented to allow anyone to build a client very easily and control the cameras. If someone would like to work with us to integrate the camera control into the AGiB, we would be happy to help. Greetings, Personally, I think this effort should be coordinated and structured through the AGiB Development Team (unless they are already involved with something). This would be an important accomplishment for the next release of AGiB. And I am sure testers are just eagerly waiting something new to test [I know I am ;)]. Also, maybe some sort of API could be generated that would allow extensibility for the future. For instance, maybe right now people are only going to control their node-related software. But, as the AG capabilities expand, maybe there will be a need for remote controls to control scientific equipment or other applications that people have not yet considered. I am remembering this stuff discussed during some session of the AG Retreat at Argonne. Basically, this would be a good time to engineer an AG programming framework. Just some thoughts. Hi all, I'm currently working on a perl/tk script that controls our AP400. It's not yet finished (telco support and a few details are not completed), but already usable. We run it on our audio-capture machine, where it eats up less than 3% cpu.
