They describe almost the same problem and a solution. Briefly, a EVT_LIST_ITEM_SELECTED and callback function are bound to the ListCtrl object. When an item is selected, the callback function must first determine which item was selected (see "Next Message" link) and then perform some action with the information obtained from the selected item. Hello together !!! I know that this list Mail is not for python programations basic doubts. Since I do not want to be a nuisance, I ask you to say to me a good forum to solve my python doubts. This api http://www.wxpython.org/docs/api isn't enougth for me. I do my End-of-Career-Project about AccessGrid. What i am doing now is improving the Shared Movie software. For this reason I am in this Mailing List. AGVCR support of MPEG4 and H.264

Hi, In order to support the MPEG4 and H.264 codecs in the VIC version developed by NCHC in Taiwan, a few simple patches are required to include the RTP Payload Type values for these codecs. The attached patch is against AGVCR 1.5.8. There is no disadvantage having these PT values recognized by AGVCR, even if the NCHC extensions are not used. AGVCR packet loss

Hi, Under certain bursty load conditions, AGVCR can loose packets. The problem was seen under Windows, but could probably occur on other platforms as well. Increasing the socket send and receive buffer size to 64000 solves the problem. The attached patch is against agvcr-1.5.8. Cultural Cybernetics: Using Informatics to Bridge the Universal/Local Knowledge Divide Abstract Many of the threats to sustainability and social justice are grounded in claims for the universality of science and technology. The claims for genetic inferiority of non-whites, the focus on oil and uranium for our national energy strategy, the over-use of pesticides and other disastrous decisions derived their legitimacy from scientific authority. Yet diminishing the authority of science by applying relativist social construction is equally disastrous, as it invites religious authority and other “closed society” knowledge claims to fill the gap. Cultural cybernetics is one way to allow an anti-relativist constructivism, using informatics to bridge the universal/local knowledge gap. Ron Eglash holds a B.S. in Cybernetics, an M.S. in Systems Engineering, and PhD in History of Consciousness, all from the University of California. A Fulbright postdoctoral fellowship enabled his field research on African ethnomathematics, which was published by Rutgers University Press in 1999 as African Fractals: modern computing and indigenous design. He is now an associate professor of Science and Technology Studies at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He recently co-edited Appropriating Technology: Vernacular Science and Social power (UM Press 2004). His current project, funded by the NSF, HUD, and Dept. of Education, translates the mathematical concepts embedded in cultural designs of African, African American, Native American, and Latino communities into software design tools for secondary school education. Bring Your Child to Work Day

I haven't had an overwhelming response, but for those of you interested in showing your Access Grids, the National Library of Medicine will be showing theirs from 9:40 AM until noon and from 1:20 PM until 3:30 PM on Thursday, April 27th in the National Library of Medicine Venue on the NCSA venue server. The NLM venue is accessible from the The World Lobby off the main NCSA lobby. We also will be running a RealVNC sever to share applications. Those interested in doing this can point their RealVNC clients to 130.14.89.101. I hoping lots of sites will participate. Craig Locatis NLM

I've traced the hang to something occuring with the Winsock select(), at least that's what the backtrace says. I'll try and see why there's a problem there. It certainly explains the cross-platform difference.
