I "approved" it via the backend interface just now. I'm not sure, you may get an email saying you now have to approve it. I also have no idea why the account was sitting in a requested state. Sudo access is available if needed. However, having exclusive access to the entire system I don't think is possible for this hardware, due to these being fairly high demand systems. Ultimately this decision is up to Rajeev and Kumar however. There's an official project request form here, http://jlse.anl.gov/projects/project-request-form/, for such a request. You can also ask JLSE to purchase a system via this request form. We can certainly host a system that is purchased by the Argo project if so desired. I've been standardizing on SuperMicro's 4RU 7048GR-TR for MIC and GPU systems. Ben, What's the likelihood of getting full access to one of the existing MIC machines for Judicael? We're imagining this would run out in the separate VLAN space you created for Kaz with full IPMI access...so more than just root access.
