Hello,
We expanded the Computing Coffee Hour to include EVS and BIO. The new name is the CELS Coffee Time. The goal is the same of providing an opportunity for everyone to learn about each other’s current work to enable more collaborations.
The coffee time take place on Wednesdays, 2pm – 3pm.
The speaker for today is Tekin Bicer and the title of his talk is “ Fast Image Reconstruction and Enhancement for Streaming Tomography Data”.

To all those who will be returning to the Lab starting July 6: Please follow the rotation strictly and note that the offices have to be cleaned and disinfected after use; people working in open areas may be relocated.
AFAIK, the CPS people returning in Wave 1 are:
* Shashi Aithal (Tu, W)
* Salman Habib (M, W)
* Wei Jiang (M, Tu, W, Th, F)
* Xiaoyong Jin (M, W, F)
* Amanda Lund (Tu)
* Aleks Obabko (Tu, Th)
* Ron Rahaman (M, W, F)
* Hyeondeok Shin (Tu, Th)
If your name is not here and you would like to come back to work on a regular basis, do let me know. (In general, though, prudence remains a good idea.)
Best
Salman

All,
We’ve received approval from Lab Management to move forward with our TCS office rotation plan, to commence implementation next Monday, July 6th! As a summary, office rotation interest was expressed by over 20% of current building occupants and we attempted to accommodate all that showed interest, resulting in a daily building population due to office rotations as follows:
Monday
Tuesday
Wednesday
Thursday
Friday
65
89
83
77
56
I am attaching three files for your review. It is important that you review these files to 1) know what to expect when you come back, 2) know and adhere to your office rotation day(s), and 3) have awareness of those around you and the building density. Specifics for each:
1. What to Know and Expect document (e.g. daily self-checks, disinfection, signage, common spaces, etc.)
2. Office Rotation spreadsheet stating which day(s) of the week you are scheduled
* If your office location is highlighted in yellow on the spreadsheet, you have a temporary office location since accommodating your existing location was impractical considering our guiding principles and COVID controls
3. Office Rotation Floor Plans – a visual depiction of the rotation spreadsheet as an awareness tool of your area/floor density
When you come to the site, security will scan your badge at the gate and you will need to have a face covering while onsite (but not while sitting at your desk). It is important to note, if you haven’t already done so, please complete the COVID100 course in TMS prior to coming onsite.
We tried our very best to accommodate your preferences but in a few cases had to make day adjustments to accommodate shared office, cubicle and open space rotations. If you would like to request adjustments, please send an email to dhodge(a)anl.gov<mailto:[email protected]>, cc-ing stickels(a)anl.gov<mailto:[email protected]>. Note, for your colleagues that haven’t requested an office rotation, please know that the day passes are still being offered for short (< 1 day) office visits to pick up equipment, books, supplies, etc.
Thanks and your feedback is welcome,
Devin Hodge
