Indeed the FT-Disuss list has disappeared, however, I find no successor replacement list or instruction on how to join the list. Please advise! [JLSE-Admins] multi-socket machines for system software development

Hi All, I need a multi socket server for OS kernel development (primary) and some app optimization, so it's going to be a type-2 machine. I don't need to access the machine physically as long as IPMI is properly configured. ( I might add some power meter later ) Time-sharing works. I tend to work late night or holiday/weekend, so type-1 users can use the machine daytime. Of course, the machine is not share-able. while I'm using due to frequent rebooting. The related projects are CESAR, Argo and COOLR (newly founded. Pete is PI. I'm co-PI). I have no idea about JLSE budget. 8-socket is preferable but I guess very expensive. 4-socket is minimum. probably Dell PowerEdge or IBM X series. I haven't narrowed down real hardware config yet. With the switch from Future Lab to JointCenter... the lists, web pages, accounts for me got screwup! I do not think all the dust has settled as I have not seen the summary email list for JC, and the FL summaries have stoped!
