I decided that Chris Henry has the best API documentation (http://140.221.84.191/services/docs/workspaceService/workspaceService.html) He gives a good overview of the services, including *why* you might use it as well as how. He included an example of how you'd use the API from a perl program. And he documented every variable and method. Furthermore, he generated his API docs in the currently approved standard KBase way, by putting comments in the typespec. I looked at a few API docs that were very nice-looking, but were not generated the standard way. Overall, the API docs are looking pretty good. There are a few that are not showing up on http://140.221.84.191/services/docs that should be, which seems like it may be due to some sort of deploy issue. But a lot more services have API docs now than did in November. I gave the Star Wars X-Wing Ice Cube Tray to Andreas to bring back to ANL for Chris. Some API docs missing that were there before

I'm checking API docs at http://140.221.84.191/services/docs/ Some were there after the first deploy but are not now. They are yellow in column M of https://docs.google.com/a/lbl.gov/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Ana5oznWypH2dFppaEJz… One of them--Regulation--is particularly odd since I saw the API docs there an hour or two before and now I don't. Gavin wants to deploy the experiment service. Since we will continue the release through next week, I think we should do this. He has included special instructions in the module readme file regarding the branch and/or tag on the type compiler that is required. Can you inform Miriam when the deployment to the test instance is complete? Tom, I'd like to weigh in on the command line user documentation. So far, the prom_service has the most verbose, most-like-template, most complete, and most problem-free --help command. Many modules have a much longer list of commands to standardize, but prom_service is newbie-friendly. jnomics API docs not showing up in http://140.221.84.191/services/docs/jnomics

I've sent notes to the developers whose API docs were missing or had issues (well, except for Bob O., who I think is already aware that sim_service doesn't have API documentation). In most cases, if the docs were not present I could tell why, but I'm not sure what happened with jnomics. Last time, they did make it to the test server, but then didn't make it onto kbase.us. This time, they're not even on the test server (http://140.221.84.191/services/docs/jnomics) Any idea what's going wrong? I can just leave it up to James and Mike S. to work out, but I'd like to at least get them on the right track. Thanks, Nomi

I was able to fix this.. I'm getting the deployment scripts ready now. The target test environment instance for this build will be 140.221.84.191. bootstrap delaying deployment start

I discovered a problem with the python build in the bootstrap over the weekend. I'm rebuilding the image now, if it winds up taking me past 10am central we may be stuck falling back to the old test environment.
