Anything that works on Haswell should work on KNL, up to the point where the debugger needs to know about AVX-512. You can mitigate this by compiling a binary for AVX2 rather than AVX-512 and debugging that. The Allinia license server hasn't been installed yet on ftsn3. It is on our list of things todo, but there's a few projects ahead of it. I installed DDT at JLSE and we have a 64 rank license. However last time I checked, the license server had not been installed yet due to the commotion with Theta. Is your segfault KNL-specific or can it be reproduced on Haswell? Anything that works on Haswell should work on KNL, up to the point where the debugger needs to know about AVX-512. It looks like DDT's installed on JLSE in /soft/debuggers/ddt/bin/ddt. But when I tried to run it, I got the error: "Error communicating with Licence Server ftsn3.ftm.alcf.anl.gov: Host unreachable". Maybe there is no license for JLSE?
