The previous release, 3.0, contained a major bug in hydra and should not be used. Please use 3.0.1 instead. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused.

The MPICH team is pleased to announce the availability of a new major release (MPICH-3.0).

The primary focus of this release is to provide full support for the MPI-3
standard. But other features, such as support for ARM v7 native
atomics, are also included.
Windows binaries are not available at this time. We are unable to provide an ETA for Windows support right now, but it will probably not be soon.
The major additions in the 3.0 release since the 1.5 release are highlighted below.
