Dear all, I am sharing this excellent opportunity to apply to participate in the well regarded NSF I-Corps program. The program is operated by the Polsky Center of the University of Chicago. The particular opportunity is open to applicants from Argonne and is targeted at researchers working in the area of data science. NSF I-Corps program empowers scientists, researchers, and students to test the commercial potential of their research and ideas. Participants are not required to have previous experience in business or entrepreneurship in order to be accepted into the I-Corps program. If selected, participation in the program is free to the applicants, and the applicant (or team) will receive a grant of $500 to support their customer discovery efforts. The Accelerated I-Corps Program will span four weeks and provide teams with a $500 grant to support their customer discovery efforts. The program uses experiential education to help data scientists/researchers gain valuable insight into entrepreneurship, starting a business, and/or industry requirements and challenges.
