Hello Everyone: It is that time of the year to request research highlight slides in preparation for our DOE ASCR Research Reverse Site Visit and other events. Research highlights focus on research accomplishments, broadly interpreted. Attached please find two files – DOE highlight template and four sample highlights. The template includes details on the components of the highlight slide (slides 1-3) and 3 different highlight formats (slides 4-6). For each highlight slide, it is important to include 1-2 paragraphs of prose or bullet points in the notes section of the slide to allow for others, such as program managers, to have sufficient information to include the highlight in a presentation. In the upper right corner of the slide, it is important to identify the funding for the research (e.g., ECP, LDRD, ASCR AM Base, SciDAC Institute RAPIDS, NSF, DoD, etc.). We welcome highlight slides that cover projects funded by other agencies , beyond DOE, or industry; please adjust the highlight template appropriately. The highlight slides provide a good summary of everyone’s work, thereby facilitating collaborations. For each highlight slide, please use the following file name convention: LastName-Topic-XXYY.pptx, where Topic is one of the 8 sub-folders provided and XXYY provides the date (e.g., 0218 for February 18). In this way, we can easily identify your latest version of a highlight. Slides should be uploaded to the appropriate subfolder in the following box folder: https://anl.app.box.com/folder/130013101661?s=yqo23wft4v99volzhbipojkt2agg7g... Everyone is able to upload highlight slides into any of the following subfolders: Advanced Architectures AI-ML Applications Computational Science Data Management, Vis and Storage Systems Facilities (updates on JLSE, AI Testbed, Polaris, etc.) Foundations of ML, Data Analysis and Statistics Mathematical Optimization Operating Systems and Programming Models Other Highlights If you would like to delete one of your highlight slides, please contact Janet Werner ([email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>). It would be most helpful to have the slides by Tuesday, March 16. If you desire to highlight a new accomplishment in the future, please upload into the box folder.
