We need your response by close of business Tuesday, June 2nd to initiate our detailed planning. Once we get your feedback, we will be drafting a plan to present to lab management and DOE regarding phased return to work for CELS employees during the Limited Operations and the Flexible Telework phases. We will be using the survey information to inform our plan and it’s implementation (e.g., cohorts, density determinations, proximity to others) using the guiding principles below. Note, your survey response is to gauge completely voluntary interest and is not to be considered a binding agreement or commitment of any sort. It is important to note that the lab campus will be very different. Masks and social distancing will be required, and meeting spaces and food services will be limited during these two upcoming phases as shown on the attached. Cass Avenue, Bldg. 240 | Argonne, IL 60439 w: 630.252.7834 | c: 708.557.1125 | f: 630.252.6333 [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> Guiding principles that we are considering in planning for office rotations are as follows: Offices * Only one person per office, staggered shifts for shared offices accordingly with self-disinfection of surfaces in between rotation Cubicles: * Cubes with door facing each other or other workstations should only have occupants on one side, stagger workers accordingly * Avoid having occupants in cubes with doors that face offices while the office is in use Open Spaces * Barrier must be in place to separate desks, where there are no barriers, spaces won’t be used (unless specific accommodations are made) * Acceptable barriers include; tall shelving units, loft walls, etc. * Workstations near walkways must have barrier * Open workstation located outside of in-use offices won’t be used (stagger accordingly, as needed) Hotel Spaces * Hoteling spaces may be available with self-disinfection of surfaces in between rotation
