In order to prepare for a driver update from Kove that will support Mellanox OFED 3.3, I need to update the kernel. Since no one is currently using neurosis, I'm going to do that now in addition to updating other packages with pending updates. This shouldn't take more than an hour. I will let you know when the process is complete. --brian On 2016-07-05 13:33, Allen, Benjamin S. wrote:
This is complete. Including an updated firmware for the Mellanox HCA. Note this was a swap from RHEL's OFED to Mellanox's OFED 3.3-1.0.0.0. The latest firmware that I could find for this HP branded Mellanox ConnectX-2 HCA is 2.9.1530.
I also took this chance to run JLSE's full set of Ansible playbooks over Neurosis which brought it closer to what our current configurations are.
Some notables: overwrote /etc/yum.repos.d, sudoers, /etc/security/access.conf. For now I have sudoers and access.conf to allow anyone in the RAN group. It installed cpupower and get the governor to performance. Fixed rsyslog to forward logs. Updated a number of configuration to point at ftsn2 and ftsn3 instead of ftsn1 and ftsn2. Installed a handful of useful systems applications.
Let me know if there's anything that appears broken.
