Are we having this meeting today? The link does not seem to work for me https://urldefense.us/v3/__https://stonybrook.zoom.us/j/94345630810?pwd=OF8G... As many of you know, I’ve been chipping away at two-sided MPI stream triggereing concept after studying what others (MPICH, HPE, MPI-ACX, etc) have come up with and the issues with implementing things on modern communication hardware (e.g. HPE Slingshot). I’ve bounced these ideas with a variety of folks, and I think they’re ready for more feedback from the hybrid working group at this point. TO that end, I’d like to present some of my ideas at this coming Wednesday’s meeting, and invite people to come, listen, provide feedback, or just generally heckle if they prefer. I’ll be presenting: 1. Some of the basic principles/requiremnets we’ve put together stream-triggered MPI two-sided communication 2. A first cut API that seeks to provide a simple interface to two-sided stream triggereing and that can also be implemented efficiencly on modern hardware 3. Example communication sequences (e.g. ping pongs, halo exchanges) that use these APIs 4. Potential issues that need to be addressed, some illustrated using different potential variants of these interfaces. Hope to see everyone Wednesday at the hybrid working group meeting.
