gcmat is finally getting off the ground and will be needing all 200k core hours through out the year.

They were granted 24k for the first half, and I gave them another 10k so they can continue their work.

Is anyone vehemently against granting them the difference in time from what was given to them so far (34k) and what they requested for this FY?

You only received 24,000 hours because of your usage of project time in the last fiscal year (just shy of 7% usage of the allocation granted last year). Completely understandable. The project had some delays in putting the model together so the actual running of the computational experiments kept getting pushed back.
