Final Reminder: LCRC Project Renewals are due today. To those who have already submitted a renewal request, thank you. To those who haven't, please submit a renewal request by the end of the day today using the instructions below if you want to continue your project during the next fiscal year (FY11, from Oct 1, 2010 through Sep 30, 2011). Any time left in your project at the end of this fiscal year (Sep 30) will NOT be carried into the next FY. If you do not wish to continue your project during FY11, you needn't do anything; we will close all projects for which a renewal was not submitted.

Dear LCRC Project PI,

It is time to submit new project requests and renewals for time on the LCRC cluster, Fusion.

The project submission deadline is September 17.

PIs submitting requests totaling 1,000,000 core-hours or more will be asked to make a short presentation to the Allocations Committee, the afternoon of Sept. 24.

When requesting time for Fusion, please note that Fusion allocations are in units of core-hours. On Fusion, 1 node-hour = 8 core-hours since each node has 8 cores.

To request a new project or to renew your existing project, please use the forms on the LCRC Accounts webpage. For NEW project requests, please use the link at:

For project RENEWAL, please go to the Projects page at:

https://accounts.lcrc.anl.gov/projects.php

and click on the name of the project which you'll be renewing from the list that appears. This will take you to the individual project's page, where you should click on the "Project Renewal Request Form" link given at the top of the page. A form will then appear with places to enter the project's data. You will need to enter an updated project description highlighting your plans for the FY11, and an allocation request with the desired amount for FY11. Please take the time to update any other information which might have changed. Once all the data is correct and complete, press the 'Submit Renewal' button at the bottom. You will then be returned to the individual project page with a message at the top indicating that the renewal request was successfully sent. If you do not see that message, please send email to [email protected] with the name of the project and the date and time that you requested the renewal.

Once your new project request or project renewal is submitted, the LCRC Allocations Committee will review your request.
