Our goal is to continue to advance methods for adaptive simulation experiments that will be widely applicable to many kinds of models. We will carry out parameter sweeps over 100k+ to 1M+ parameter combinations, determining regions of parameter space that exhibit the best fit to empirical data, including historical prices of critical materials, and parameter sensitivity. The adaptive simulation workflows will allow us to strategically explore large parameter spaces, dynamically generating parameter combinations based on results of distributed simulation runs, using evolutionary algorithms and approximate Bayesian computation. Current: undetermined amount Justification: Requested: 100000 A specific reason has been given: We are requesting a total of 200k core-hours split into 100k core-hours for the current (3rd) quarter and 100k core-hours for the 4th quarter. We are running analyses on our model in preparation for a sponsor meeting on June 15. Each of our runs has been taking about 10k core-hours and we'll need to do at least 6 more analyses but possibly up to 10 in both the remaining part of this quarter and the 4th quarter.
