Hello, A new project on the LCRC cluster has been requested. Please forward the information on to the LCRC Allocation sub-committee. Applicant's name: Pete Beckman Applicant's institution: ANL Applicant's division: MCS Project Name: waggle Project title: Wireless sensors for Array of Things Associated funding: LDRD, Computation Institute Other Systems: Science: Build standardized machine learning and classification framework for large image and audio data repositories Project description: We will be starting quite small... we first need to develop a toolchain that can run OpenCV and machine learning framework Caffe and TensorFlow. We want to work toward parallel versions, and then train the frameworks up on image data. Initially, the work will need Docker, and we will be integrating other folks code (OpenCV, etc). Later, we will work on parallelizing the toolchain, either as a task farm, or SPMD parallelism. We are still exploring that space. We could offer to advance time from the 2nd half. That is an established procedure. Alternately we could add time to his project, though we would like hi to submit a request through the project system. To clarify, he wrote quarter, but upon checking he’s almost out of time for the half year (Q1 and Q2).
