Dear DSL staff, We have a quick-turnaround request from some folks in DOE for information on R&D efforts at Argonne in the areas of Al (artificial intelligence) and AIM (augmenting intelligence using machines). If you are involved in such efforts, please respond with the following information in the attached spreadsheet: 1. R&D efforts you're working on in AI and AIM 2. Funding source for the effort (LDRD, SPP/ SIPP, DOE/NNSA, commercial, or other) 3. Approximate number of researchers working on it Include in this list any R&D efforts you are working on in high-performance computing for AI or AIM, especially GPUs and other specialized hardware and software. Approximate values are fine for any of the fields. For the project description, a simple, one-sentence description of the work is sufficient. Please send your reply to me and Ian by COB tomorrow.
