However clumsily named, this is the point where byte addressable nvram begins to sound like a real thing. Probably not notable to anyone besides me (this paper doesn't have many citations) but I liked it for describing a way to keep consistency in the face of concurrent updates in distributed storage without doing any r/m/w operations. pre-workshop document: some minor progress

Lee and I spent an hour or so today cleaning up the document, making sure the numbering of sections was about right, noting assignments, removing old material that could just go, marking old material that ought to go but not before we make sure there's nothing useful in it, etc. Should be pretty clear what needs to happen at this point, but please don't hesitate to ask questions when they come up.
