I would like to see things like the introspection interface, message queues and MPIR 2.0 in the main standard. I thought that was the plan with the MPIR document being an interim step until the evolved interface could be designed and standardized. I would hope that MPI Next would provide the right opportunity to pursue these goals.
That's what I recalled for MPIR as well. However, I was unclear on what the plan for the handle introspection and message queue interfaces was. I will bring this up for discussion at the next call. Kathryn

Cisco and Microsoft are actively working on this (and we're trying to rope some debugger vendors in, too).
We hope to have something to show at the next physical meeting. We'll see if we have enough time to make that happen...
