If we can make it work, I would prefer to shift it a week so that we can be more productive (this coming from the guy who had to sit on his two proposals for over a year because of delays! I.e., I'm motivated to actually do more work here, not less ;-) ).

I *think* most of the resistance was due to the miscommunication before...? (some people thought we shifted it, some people didn't, so that led to scheduling conflicts on that specific Monday)
