Hi all - Edgar would like to bring the ticket to deprecate the split collective file operations up for a vote at the next File chapter committee working group meeting on Feb. 7 (10-11am US Central time). If you cannot attend that meeting and have questions or would like to vote against moving this forward, please reply on the mailing list, or contact me or Edgar privately. If this passes the vote at the working group meeting, he will submit the change for a reading at the next Forum meeting. MPI I/O working group updates

Hi all, Several items from today’s working group meeting: - We deferred voting on deprecating the split collective operations so that there could be more discussion on Slack about whether to add nonblocking ordered read / write operations. - We decided to cancel the working group meeting on Nov. 15, due to its proximity to SC24. - Chen, Edgar, and myself are all going to SC24 and would like to have a get together with any other members of the I/O working group. OK, I’ve sent out a new invite for Fridays at 8-9am PT. I can’t find the old calendar invite for Thursdays to delete, but please delete that one on your calendar.
