I'm planning to focus my Forum energy on getting communicator info and associated keys ready for a reading in December. I would like to make more progress on endpoints, but my time is unfortunately limited at the moment. If folks are ok with it, I suggest that we postpone the next endpoints update until the February meeting. A few other items we might want to talk about:
1. There were issues with MPI_GROUP and COMM_COMPARE for endpoints (see Dan’s resend back on 8/10). Did those issues ever get resolved?
2. There was discussion when Pavan (and Jim) were not present about defining MPI process better. Is that still an open issue for discussion?
3. There is also Dan’s Outstanding issues with endpoints document from May (see the last entry in the endpoints ticket). Are those issues resolved?
Sorry if these items have been resolved. I missed a few telecoms and the last face-to-face Forum in Europe. For all I know Jim is addressing all of these issues in the next endpoints update. - Steve
