I’ll be presenting some of the results on a survey and taxonomy of MPI+X triggering mechanisms at the August 14th meeting that my colleagues (Tony, Puri, and others) and I recently completed. This is work that will be fully presented at EuroMPI/Australia 2024 in a few months, and I look forward to a robust discussion of our work there, but early feedback from the working group would be great, too. I also have some thoughts on where we should go with stream triggering based on what we found in this study and is beyond the scope of the paper that I could probably be convinced to share. ☺ For those interested in looking over the work ahead of time, a preprint of the EuroMPI paper is available on arxiv: https://urldefense.us/v3/__https://arxiv.org/abs/2406.05594__;!!G_uCfscf7eWS... <https://urldefense.us/v3/__https:/arxiv.org/abs/2406.05594__;!!G_uCfscf7eWS!YJ7UYOa7k5JPG75BFSq2Tf6oJM7t6cuZii70ODtL2arFAzjaN-r8zzS26cTPBIOVDIR7qvIiOCvuR04jku_msYkygzk2vVoz$>
