Re: [Mpi-forum] Logistics for MPI Forum Meeting in Kobe/Japan
I found room in the Kobe hotels, but that was a few weeks ago (although, it was indeed tight there already back then). As for the Kyoto hotels, I ended up booking through orbitz, which allowed booking over the weekend, of course. I’ll ask our hosts of there are any other options they can recommend. Hope this helps, Martin ________________________________________________________________________ Martin Schulz, [email protected], http://scalability.llnl.gov/ CASC @ Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, Livermore, USA On 7/10/14, 6:24 AM, "Marc-Andre Hermanns" <[email protected]> wrote:
Dear Guillaume,
I have the same problem. I didn't book yet, but wanted to do so in the next days.
I would also be interested to hear alternative options.
Cheers, Marc-Andre

Hi,
I'be got a slight issue and I wonder if other people have the same: there are no rooms available for the 13 and 14 september in the proposed hotels in Kobe and it's not possible to reserve two more nights in Kyoto at the hotels proposed for EuroMPI either... I contacted JTB and they don't seem to understand what the issue is. Did everybody already managed to book their hotels for both events?

Hi all,
I put up a first version of the logistics page for the Kobe meeting in September (I know that some of us probably need to start the approval process soon). It¹s at the usual place on the forum website.
Note that we won¹t have a room block this time, but Riken has special rates with many hotels, so hopefully that will help. Also, we¹ll have a hard cut-off at the end of August for registrations to give our hosts at Riken enough time to clear access issues. We¹ll hopefully have the registration page up soon.
For the working group leads: please start thinking about agenda items as well as needed working group time and send me those requests, so I can start filling out the skeleton agenda we have right now.
Thanks!
Martin
