It was merely a suggestion, as indicated by the "could". I believe Jack Dongarra is the person who makes this decision.

Or, perhaps we'll just decide that since no-one in the US is interested in supercomputing any longer (or, at least, DoE isn't interested in an HPC show enough to send people or have booths), *we* should just rename the Supercomputing show series and hold it in Paris, London and Berlin.

This is not a correct evaluation of the current DOE travel situation with respect to SC12. We can take it offline if you would like to discuss the facts. The decision was not made _by_ DOE, it was made _for_ DOE by a higher authority. Jeff

We had voted to have 3 meetings in the US, and alternate between Asia and Japan on the forth one.
