The Argonne is zero cost for the space, which may be an advantage relative to other sites, such as at one of the hotels.

I agree that my idea is far-fetched, but I live 3 miles from Argonne. I am pretty sure Dave and Darius will be much happier as well.

AON center to O'Hare is 19.3 miles, whereas it is only 7 more from Argonne, but with 90/94 traffic, Argonne is arguable closer to ORD in space-time on a Wednesday afternoon. Traffic definitely favors going to MDW from the west in the afternoon.

Please note that the cutoff date for the group rate is Oct the 3rd.
