Is your segfault KNL-specific or can it be reproduced on Haswell?

Anything that works on Haswell should work on KNL, up to the point where the debugger needs to know about AVX-512. You can mitigate this by compiling a binary for AVX2 rather than AVX-512 and debugging that.
