We are pleased to announce that we have just released MPICH 4.1a1. It is available
This release is the first alpha release for 4.1 release series. Major features include
PMI refactor, MPIX stream experimental API, build and testing enhancements, and
many fixes and improvements. In addition to the usual mpich and hydra tarballs,
starting with this release, we also release libpmi and mpich-testsuite tarballs for use
cases outside MPICH.
The MPIX stream prototypes are experimental ideas to address explicit mapping of
execution context for MPI+thread and MPI+CUDA applications. For more information,
