Project description: Adjust parameters for hydrologic processes in the land surface model (CLM with CESM) with remote sensing data and recent GRACE gravity measurements. Community Land Model (CLM4) offline and CLM4 coupled with CESM will be used to simulate hydrologic processes for Africa. We will test CLM4 with our measured data from GRACE. CLM4 model has been used on fusion by other Argonne colleagues. The new version is quite efficient. Initially, we will have 1-2 members to test. later, we will have 2-3 members to run simulations for different scenarios and various calibrations for number of parameters.
