The core part of the project is to calculate high-order QCD (NNLO and beyond) corrections for processes involving top quark or jets utilizing large scale Monte Carlo simulation. Project description: In the year 2017, I will complete the ongoing simulations on single top-quark production at the LHC. Meanwhile, a new simulation focusing on W boson plus a charm quark production at the LHC will be initiated, aiming at providing precision predictions for the CMS and ATLAS measurement for extracting of the strange-quark parton distribution functions.
