I tried that earlie. Forcing the card to 100MB half duplex did not change the thruput. Rather the card was at full or half duplex, it was stilling transfering data at less than 3MB/sec and generating lots of errors. The only diffence was there were no collisions at full, and lots at half.

It might be entertaining to force the Linux card into *half* duplex now and see whether throughput gets even worse!
