Dear colleagues:

After an unexpectedly long wait, the dsl-employees and dsl-affiliates email lists are finally live. (Who knew databases could be so complicated?)

We will thus take these lists for a spin by using them to welcome you to the new Data Science and Learning (DSL) Division. Each of you is either an employee (Argonne employee with DSL as their home division, plus some academic joint appointees) or affiliate (others, such as UChicago joint appointees, with a DSL affiliation).

You’ll be hearing a lot from us in the coming weeks and months. In particular, we’ll be organizing some meetings so that we can all meet and get to know each other. For now, let us say that we are delighted and honored to be working with you in DSL and that we look forward to learning more about your work and planning (and doing) great things.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions, concerns, ideas, etc.
