CPS postdocs/Postdoc mentorship coordinator
Hi Everyone, As all of you know, it's very important to have a vibrant postdoc program in CPS. By this summer/fall, we expect to have 6+ postdocs in the division. It's extremely important that the postdocs do well and interact strongly with each other; we ought to set a very high standard for how we work with them. For all CPS postdoc supervisors: please go to the CPS Basecamp page (https://3.basecamp.com/3115476/projects/11926740), go to Docs & Files, and enter your postdoc info in the "Postdocs in CPS" doc in the "CPS Postdocs" folder. Please do this ASAP. (If you supervise ALCF postdocs, please enter that information as well for our records.) I would like to thank Paul Romano for accepting the very important position of Postdoc Mentorship Coordinator for CPS. Paul will work with Tina Henne who has overall responsibility for the Lab's postdoc program, with CPS Division management, and with the individual postdoc supervisors and mentors. More on this soon. We will work on a CPS document specifying how we expect our postdoc program to be run, how we will provide our postdocs exemplary career development opportunities, and set our expectations of CPS supervisors and postdoc mentors. Once the draft is ready, we will make it open for comments and revisions. Best Salman
