Hello All, I am happy to welcome Dimitrios Fytanidis to CPS and Argonne. Today is Dimitrios’ first day at CPS, and he will be working remotely for some time. He is reachable via his Argonne email address, and also via the CPS and cps_cfd slack channels. Dimitrios will be pursuing post-doctoral research under my supervision on a DOE/EERE funded Distributed Wind Project. His expertise is in fluid dynamics, with particular emphasis on turbulence modeling, and large scale flow simulations. His research work at Argonne will be on improving the predictive capability of flow simulations in the atmospheric boundary layer, and he has also evinced an interest in applying machine learning techniques to turbulence closure modeling.
