Saturday, February 23, 2019 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Museum of Science and Industry, Chicago 5700 S Lake Shore Drive, Chicago, IL 60637 (773) 947-3152 | http://msichicago.org In celebration of Black Creativity, MSI is looking for African American artists, scientists and engineers to talk with the public at a hands-on career station during the Black Creativity Career Showcase. This is an opportunity to share your expertise and inspire future innovators! Career stations invite youth and families to discover: * What’s innovative about your work or field * Your personal journey into a science, engineering or art-based career * The connection your work has to the real world and everyday life Your station should include a short, interactive activity or demonstration related to your work and content area. We encourage you to bring props, gear or uniforms, handouts, and even small giveaway items that complement your career field. You also may want to bring your company or organization’s tablecloth, banner or sign. No selling or solicitation is permitted. Complimentary Museum Entry, garage parking, breakfast and water/coffee/tea will be provided for the day. MSI will provide an 8-foot table, black table linen, three chairs, wireless internet and access to electricity (if needed) for all stations.
