I have personal experience running davmail. In order to work with this, it has to be a per user install (ie, running on your machine), but may work. Otherwise there's the other clients listed there.

I'm also poking at a Thunderbird plugin named Exquilla, but haven't done any deep testing yet.

What will not work, according to what I'm told, is POP or IMAP.
