We think the division might reasonably submit a few survey responses as input to the DOE tiger team that is helping FEMA as described in email thread below. We're looking for relevant code capabilities
and technical POCs who can fill in survey details with description of applicability. The survey itself references these areas:
Epidemiology
Supply Chain
Molecular Dynamics
"Omics" Analysis
Image Analysis
Economics
Manufacturing
Fluid Dynamics
Data Set
Other:

Sorry for the mass mailing on this. As you might know DOE has created a computing “tiger team” that is organizing computing related support for FEMA.
Kathy Yelick and Fred Streitz are the organizers of this (Fred talking to the agency via his output office in FEMA) and Kathy reaching to the labs to help coordinate.
They are trying to gather up as much info a possible about the lab’s computing resources that might be deployed in the near term to help FEMA with decisions etc. This is not a call for research proposals or a call
for funding, but a call for identification of capabilities particularly in applied computing applications that would be useful in supporting FEMA operational decision making.
They have put together a survey to capture information about our applications capabilities. I’m not sure of the best way to get this efficiently filled out but each of you on the To: line probably have something
to contribute and it would be great if you could spend a few minutes on the survey. Its relatively simple and its focused on a per application..

Here is a link to a survey for your Lab’s COVID-19 computing and data capabilities. You are welcome to forward this to others at your Lab, since we’re asking for one response for each code or project. If people could prioritize getting epi modeling and
supply chain capabilities in by Thursday 4/16 by noon PDT, I will summarize those on our Friday call.
We are looking for other capabilities outside this epi/supply space that might be relevant to development of therapeutics, testing, experimental data analysis, etc. You’ll see those categories and more on the form. But to avoid getting an overwhelming number
of responses and wasting your time, I would like to only have things have some kind of clear COVID-19 plan. Let’s set an initial deadline of Wednesday 4/22 for the others, but we will discuss this on Friday and look at other topics that have come in. This
will not be the last opportunity to contribute, and so you can add things later as the overall list of activities and a plan evolves.
