The American Nuclear Society is pleased to announce that Dr. Paul K. Romano, who is employed by your institution, has been selected as one of two recipients of the 2021 Landis Young Member Engineering Award.  He will be recognized along with Prof. Nicholas R. Brown from the University of Tennessee Knoxville during the ANS Virtual Annual Meeting with a video recording.

 

This award recognizes outstanding achievement in which engineering knowledge has been effectively applied to yield an engineering concept, design, safety improvement, method of analysis or product utilized in nuclear power research and development or commercial application.  The citation for Dr. Romano will read:

 

In recognition of his leadership in advancing the state of the art and breadth of impact of computational nuclear engineering.
