Hi Everyone,

We'll go over a few things at tomorrow's meeting (2-3pm, 4301, Bldg. 240). Two major themes: First, to discuss the current activities wrt

1. What CPS folks are doing regarding exascale systems (A21, Frontier, and associated pre-exascale machines -- Perlmutter, Summit)
2. How much expertise we have in non-X86 HPC (GPUs, ARM, FPGA, exotica, --)
3. How much performance modeling expertise resides within the group

Second, the extent of data-intensive computing expertise:

1. Work on in situ analytics
2. Complex workflows and edge services
   
3. Classical ML and DL methods

Of course this is informal, but feel free to think through these points a little bit before the meeting. It's mostly for my education but also so we are all on the same page -- thanks in advance.
